Parks and Trails of Maplewood Estates

-
North Trail - This trail is technically supposed to be maintained by the City of Renton. It has a dead-end so it sees low use.
-
Central Trail and South Trail - These are maintained by the HOA and have a gravel surface.
-
Utility Trails - These trails utilize the utility roads and corridors for the county and city. They are haphazardly maintained by volunteer homeowners. The West utility trail is not within Maplewood Estates and we don't maintain it. The South utility trail is on the utility access road maintained by the city.
-
Main Park - This is our big park and includes many amenities, including a large picnic shelter, charcoal grills, tables, benches, a playground, a basketball court, and a toss-up court.
-
Pocket Parks - Half of these are still undeveloped other than a bark mulch surface. The other half are partially or fully developed with landscaping. The HOA board might choose to landscape the remaining pocket parks in the future. The pocket park at Orcas Ave NE and NE 1st St is not part of the private lot next door; it has a stone bench available for anyone to use.
